Welcome to the CM 01/02 Website. Part Time v Full Time This was a very difficult one to test as there is no editor that I have found which can change this part of the contract. Still using my AC Horsen team, I changed the players and club and started a new game with them all part time. I ran through a season a couple of times. We averaged a 1.67% increase in average for the players as opposed to 2.73% for full time players and staff. It has to be said that this is not a direct comparison as there are random factors when a new game is started. Interestingly part time players and full time staff made very little difference (1.74% improvement) while full time players with part time staff showed a 2.47% increase.

Conclusion is to make players full time before staff. Size of squad For this test, I signed up a lot of free players to max out the squad at 50 players. As I said above, the standard 25 man squad improved 2.73% over the course of a season.
Championship Manager 01/02 Championship Manager 01/02 17.10. Championship Manager 2001/2001 FAQ Author: Zonan Date. Edit the training schedule to. With a full squad, this went down to 2.69%.
I don’t think that this is significant enough to make any judgement and is more likely related to the attributes of the players that I signed. Does a bad coach make a good coach worse? Definitely not. Adding a coach always helps.
Obviously the worse the coach, the less the improvement, but even a bad coach with a 5 rating for Coaching Outfield will improve your training. Coaching Style How will a Fitness coach get on teaching skills, and a Technical coach deal with fitness?
In fact it appears to make no difference. A Technical coach is just as good at improving fitness as a Fitness coach and vice versa. There is a difference for Goalkeeping coaches v Outfield and they can’t be swapped without having an impact.
What other attributes should I consider for a coach? Adaptability,Man Management, Motivating, Physiotherapy, Determination, Tactical Knowledge, Judging Ability, Judging Potential and Level of Discipline all made no significant difference. None of them do any harm, but I wouldn't pay any more for a coach with high values here over one without. Working with Youngsters was interesting. There was a small improvement as this attribute increased, however it was not just the youngsters who did better.
After digging into the detail, it appears that coaches with a high value here will benefit players not getting a regular game. So if you do like a large squad then this will make an impact.
Preferred formation and Preferred style made no significant difference I think that this concludes my investigation into coaches and facilities. I’ll be looking at players, their attributes and their schedules next. Shooting: fitness/tactics - medium, shooting/skills - intensive. For strikers attacking meidfielders key defensive mids. General: fitness - medium, shooting/skills/tactics-intensive.
For midfielders, youth squad and defenders.I usually choose 2 out the three for intensive set the other on medium and then rotate these around depending on how players are developing. Fitness- Fitness-intensive, shooting, skills and tactics low/medium.
Goalkeeping: goalkeeping-intensive, tactics-medium the others low. OFF SEASON- I usaully put all players on fitness, reduce fitness to medium and the others to low, when their fitness levels drop I reduce fitness to low and the others to nothing, their fitness levels will build up again after a bit of a rest, about 5 days before new season providing all are back to 100% I reintodue their normal training. I don't change for friendlies but may for other competive matches, qualifiers etc. Usually by the start of the new season all are back to 100%.
I usually set my tactics back to default 442 until after the update to make it hard for the AI to break my tactic. I find it very difficult to build up stamina though, fitness should be the obvious one. Youth Training CM 01/02 (best CM ever) After a season ends or during the winter break I give my team a 2 weeks rest. Should I give my youth players in the reserves a 2 weeks rest?
They have that need match practice. cause they don't play that many games. Also, should I give them some hardcore training afterwards or just regular season training which on my team is position specific. For example for midfield I have: Medium Fitness Intense Tactics Medium Shooting Medium Skills New Position: Midfield. Finding good players Enter the '/cm0102/editor/' folder and run the cm0102ed.exe file to start the game editor.
Use it to open your data file, which should be in the '/cm0102/data' folder. Use the filter to find any player who has ability over 180. These players are very good but usually are very expensive and famous.
However, some of them are not - for example, some players from South America. You can use filter to find any player with potential over 180. Some of them, especially the younger ones, are not expensive and will develop into very good players in a few years. Read out the strange report that is given. Note: This works on both the demo and final version of the game. Good question.
There are some minimum system requirements - if your machine does not at least match these, then the answer is no. There are also recommended system requirements. If you computer matches or exceeds these then you will be able to run all sixteen leagues forever and a day.
However if your system specifications fall somewhere between minimum and recommended, then you probably want to know what the restrictions are. See below for a quick and dirty guide to what you can expect to be able to run comfortably:. 100 MHz PowerPC with 32 MB of memory - 1 league for several years.
200 MHz PowerPC with 64 MB of memory - up to 4 leagues for several years. 350 MHz G3 with 128 MB of memory - up to 8 leagues for as long as you want. 450 MHz G4 with oodles of memory - all 16 leagues for as long as you want. To use these files you follow the same procedure as for the PC version of the game, and then do one extra step.
First, download the picture/menubar file. If it is a menubar file, name it 'game.mbr', and put it into the data folder. If it is a background picture, put it into the pictures folder and then edit the picture config file to use the new picture. Now for the extra step: the Mac converts PC format CM pictures ('.rgn' or '.mbr' files) into Mac format files ('.rgm') when it first comes across them.
It will only convert the file if there isn't already a '.rgm' version available. So you need to remove the 'game.rgm' file before a new 'game.mbr' is recognised. Did you get all that?
Sort of You can't use any of the database editors (.exe files) directly on the Mac without using Virtual PC or another PC emulator. However, you can get the Mac to convert PC database files, so it is theoretically possible to use an editor on a PC or an emulator, and then use the edited databases on the Mac. What you need to do is take all of the '.dat' files from a PC installation of CM, and put them into the data folder of your Mac version of CM.
Now throw away all the '.dam' files from the data folder. Now start up CM and choose 'New Game'. It should now import and convert the PC files, and make new '.dam' files. Once it's done this you can throw the '.dat' files away. There are two things to note about this process:. It's not supported; if it doesn't work or something goes wrong, you're on your own. The Mac will only make new '.dam' files if it can't find existing ones; every time you make a change to your '.dat' files you'll need to throw the '.dam' files away to get CM to pick up the changes.
To afford your players an advantage you can customise the existing training programs to push the players to the peak of their physical, mental and technical abilities. This is best done by copying an existing training program, and making the required changes. When you make the changes you’ll notice that as well as the number of points available to improve the impact of the various elements of training, there is an upper level of physical perfection for the players – the point at which too much training affects them, and injuries occur.
By increasing the various elements to a training program, the line chart at the bottom of the screen will be adjusted. Upon starting the game, the vertical line is in the left-hand side of the column. Notice that there is both a vertical line and a vertical column in the first half of the chart. The column is the peak zone, the area which the vertical line should not exceed.
Spending time increasing the focus of different types of training (don’t ignore the physical aspects) will improve your players over the course of the season. This, of course, is a key aspect of the management of the team.
The job of the players is to express themselves and your tactics on the pitch against every opponent, and they need to be in tip top condition technically, mentally and physically to do this. Once you’ve customized your training regimes, don’t forget to apply them to your players. You’ll need to do this on a player-by player basis, choosing defensive training programs for defenders, attacking programs for strikers and attacking midfielders, and so forth.

Related Subreddits. I'm thinking of hosting a game with a few other players (five of us would be ideal), playing a game of Championship Manager 01-02. I have a scoring system in place, and have already given it a trial run with a friend. On top of points for higher honour tournaments, there are special challenges included for bonus points.
If anyone is interested, the system will be in the comments. The active leagues would be Wales, Northern Ireland, ROI, Scotland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and England. If there is demand, I'd be willing to integrate two additional nations into this setup. The only conditions are that you must start with a low reputation team (which can be discussed before starting), you can play to a GMT schedule, and you have enough free time during evenings to be flexible enough for us to be able to play semi-frequently. I won't be demanding a lot of everyone's time and we'll pre-arrange times that we can all be available. If we can get a group together I'll create our own little subreddit to manage things! Hope a few of you are keen!
EDIT: For those of you who don't have the game, or do not know how to get involved with network play, I have a detailed but simple guide for both. The game is at this point in time free and legal. As I'd be running the game, these errors should be irrelevant. Here is the guide: LOGMEIN HAMACHI -From the following link, download the 'unmanaged' version: -Open the file and install the software.Open the software and click to join a network -Search for one called 'RedditCM', the password is 'samba'.Whenever you want to play online, you need to have this software open. DAEMON TOOLS LITE -Download the game file from the big red download button here: -Download Daemon Tools Lite from here: -Then, run the Daemon Tools file and install it -Open it up, and then within Daemon Tools, -Open the CM0102.iso.When you do that, it will act as if you have put the CM0102 disk into your laptop. When the option appears in autorun, click setup.Install the game as normal.Whenever you want to play single player or online, you'll need to have the CM0102.iso file loaded in this software for it to work. CHAMPIONSHIP MANAGER 01-02 -Open the 242.exe file that you downloaded, and install it. This is just to update the game.Next, go to Computer - Program Files - Championship Manager 0102 - Data -Inside this folder, delete the file called cpuinf32.dll.Make sure Hamachi is running, and go back to the main Championship Manager 0102 folder.
Double click the file called 'ip'. Nothing will open, but that's fine. Now, go to the shortcut on your desktop (if you don't have one, make one). Right click it, go to properties, compatibility mode, and make it run in NT Framework 4.0 8 (if the game won't run like this, put it in Windows XP Service pack 2). 242.EXE PATCH -Go to the following website: -Download the file. Make an account if needed.Run the file and install it, it's an easy one.The patch is needed for us to be able to connect. Make sure the cpuinf32.dll hasn't reappeared. That should be everything!
